With the pace of the new Year of the Rabbit, Taiwan enhances to popularize “Lantern Tour” to richen the content of Taiwan Tourism.
"2011 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival”, themed “Love, Happiness”, held a press conference in Beijing on Jan 6th and welcomed mainland tourists to Taiwan during Lantern Festival.
2011 Kaohsiung Lantern Festival will be held from Feb 12th to Feb 28th. It is the largest one in recent years. It is divided into 4 areas, situating at romantic Glory Pier, True Love Pier and both sides of Love River, where the theme came from.
The Kaohsiung Lantern Festival is the largest and one of the most special cultural activities in Taiwan. During the festival, there will be plenty of gorgeous cultural show and characteristic ones. Besides watching beautiful lantern, visitors may also taste the Taiwan food and snack and buy local products.
"Mayday”, famous band to all of us, is the image ambassador of the Lantern Festival. They said welcome to Kaohsiung to enjoy the lively Lantern Day and delicious seafood. For the lovers, they may have some quality time on the beach of Love River.
